Rekha Balakrishnan Soto

Rekha Balakrishnan Soto has over 20 years of experience in IT and telecom, with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Rekha Balakrishnan is currently the Global Director of IT Field Services for Astreya at Google. Prior to that, they worked as a Programme/Project Delivery Manager at Tech Mahindra from 2020 to 2021.

In their previous role, Rekha served as a Global Account Manager and Service Delivery Manager at Coforge from 2018 to 2020. Rekha Balakrishnan was responsible for managing key accounts and ensuring the successful delivery of services.

Their extensive experience also includes working at Vodafone as a Sr. Technical Programme manager/Delivery Manager. During their time at Vodafone, they led successful end-to-end Agile delivery of various projects and implemented governance for Agile delivery across Vodafone Group Programs. Rekha Balakrishnan also played a vital role in the re-platforming of on-premise Pega applications to Pega Cloud.

Rekha has also worked as a Director/Business IT Consultant at Aequitas Business Consultants, where they aligned telecom and IT processes with frameworks and implemented platform-based solutions for various clients.

Prior to that, they held leadership positions at Tech Mahindra, WNS, FIS, Slashsupport, and NCS Group, where they contributed to bid management, project deployment, infrastructure setup, and service delivery.

Throughout their career, Rekha has demonstrated their strategic thinking, leadership skills, and ability to deliver successful outcomes for their clients and organizations.

Rekha Balakrishnan Soto holds a Postgraduate Degree in Strategy & Innovation from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, which they obtained from 2024 to 2025. Rekha Balakrishnan has also completed an APSM certification in Advanced Program in Strategy Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2009. Rekha Balakrishnan holds an MBA degree in General Management from Southern New Hampshire University, achieved in 2008. Rekha completed their undergraduate studies at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from 1990 to 1994. Prior to this, they attended St. Joseph's Anglo Indian Girls Higher Secondary School for their Higher Secondary education, focusing on Maths, Science, and Computer Science. Rekha's educational journey began at Bain School, where they completed their Primary and High School education from 1981 to 1988.

In addition to their academic degrees, Rekha Balakrishnan Soto has obtained certifications in project management. Rekha Balakrishnan has an MSP - Foundation certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, achieved in 2016. Moreover, they hold a certification as an MSP Practitioner from the same institution. The year of obtaining the MSP Practitioner certification is not specified.
