About this role

At Astronomer, our R&D team is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience in managing Apache Airflow at scale. As a leading player in the industry, we are seeking a talented Software Engineer to work on our Product-Led Growth initiative, a critical component of our expansion strategy. You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our platform. Collaborating closely with our applications team and product team, you will develop an intuitive onboarding and self-service experience for our users. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to scale and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

What you get to do:

  • Contribute to the development of the Product-Led Growth initiative, focusing on enhancing the user experience and driving business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and implement intuitive onboarding processes and self-service features to streamline user interactions with our platform.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our product-led approach through data-driven insights and user feedback.
  • Contribute to the overall platform usability, reliability, and scalability.

What you bring to the role:

  • A strong focus on the end-user experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to find middle ground.
  • Experience of Golang and TypeScript.
  • Experience with software development best practices, such as code reviews, testing, CI/CD, version control, automation and debugging.

Bonus points if you have:

  • 1-3 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with full-stack development
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or related workflow orchestrators
  • Built tools for improving onboarding and self service experience.

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $140,000 - $170,000 CAD based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package.. This range is merely an estimate, and the width of the range reflects willingness to consider candidates with broad prior seniority. Actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
