Navid Aghdaie

Navid Aghdaie has a strong background in engineering and technology leadership. Navid is currently working as the Vice President of Engineering at Astronomer, where they are responsible for developing Astro, their flagship product. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director II of Engineering and Head of Data & AI at Electronic Arts, where they led the development and operation of their global Data & AI platform. Before that, Navid held the role of Vice President of Technology at Ask.com, where they oversaw their analytics technology and search products. Navid began their career as a Software Engineer at Liquidmarket, a shopping aggregator on the web, where they were part of the initial engineering team and played a key role in the company's growth and successful acquisition. Overall, Navid has a wealth of experience in building and managing large-scale data platforms and leveraging AI/ML technologies for optimization and content generation.

Navid Aghdaie obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from UCLA from 1999 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from UCLA from 1997 to 1999. Navid also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from UCLA, which they achieved from 1994 to 1997.
