Kevin Williams has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Kevin began their career in 1996 as a Research Program Manager and Senior Analyst at International Data Corporation, where they pioneered and launched new eBusiness, mobile, and wireless research programs in Japan. Kevin then moved to NTT DOCOMO, Inc. in 2002, where they served as Senior Manager, Advanced Technology Research. In this role, they spearheaded strategic business development and market intelligence programs for 3G wireless services, evaluated global ventures, products, and technologies for mobile integration, partnership, or acquisition potential, and produced marketing collateral and presented at media events, announcements, and launches. In 2008, they joined Invention Development Fund, IV as Senior Director, Innovation and Partnerships, where they guided the IT product innovations group, and recruited global SMEs, scientists, and university labs to join their trusted and curated global network of diverse expertise to resolve industry challenges. Kevin then moved to Xinova, Japan in 2016 as VP, Innovation Services Group, where they built trusted relationships with industry executives and R&D heads to address innovation needs, capabilities, and pain points, then advised them on workflows leading to new products and IP. Kevin also designed and executed global programs and services for better regional, cultural, and business fit, unlocking revenue and increasing renewals. In 2018, they moved to Xinova as VP, Innovation Services, where they strategized, roadmapped, and executed innovation programs across multiple verticals (automotive, healthcare, entertainment, IoT, wireless). Kevin also oversaw hardware/software projects using agile frameworks and cross-functional collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Most recently, they joined AstrumU\u00ae in 2021 as Program Manager, where they are leveling the playing field for all learners, quantifying the value of learning and working experiences, and using an AI data-driven platform to personalize career and learning recommendations, based upon skill gap analysis, and indicate the most likely path toward a successful outcome, especially for underrepresented, undeserved, and underemployed individuals.

Kevin Williams obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech. From 1995 to 1996, they studied Business Japanese at NichiBei Kaiwa Gakuin. Kevin also attended Annapolis High School. In 2021, they obtained two certifications from LinkedIn: Logistics Foundations and Supply Chain Foundations.
