Bernard Ionescu

Bernard Ionescu has over 20 years of work experience in the creative industry. Bernard is currently working as an Associate Creative Director at Astucemedia since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Art Director and 3D Motion Designer at VMLY&R from January 2021 to March 2023. Bernard also held the same position at Geometry Global from November 2018 to January 2021.

Before joining these companies, Bernard worked at DKE.inc for over 10 years as a Creative/Art Director, focusing on designing and directing immersive cross-media concepts for various local and international brands.

Bernard has also served as a Senior Art Director at X2O Media, a Barco company, from April 2005 to February 2007. Bernard's experience includes working as a Motion Graphic Designer at Grass Valley, a Belden Brand from October 2005 to April 2006, and as a Broadcast Motion Designer at ProTV from March 2005 to July 2005.

Early in their career, Bernard worked as an Art Director News at National TV from August 2003 to March 2005. Bernard also held the position of Art Director at Promo A&F Advertising from August 2001 to August 2003 and at Primera Communications from May 1997 to August 2001, where they specialized in corporate and brand identity design, creative strategies, and graphic design for international adaptations.

Bernard Ionescu attended the Universitatea de Artă din București from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in statuary sculpture, esthetics, and history of art. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1997, they attended the Highschool of Fine Arts N. Tonitza and received a certificate in history of art and sculpture. In addition to their formal education, Bernard also obtained additional certifications, including becoming a Vizrt Trio Operator in May 2016 and a Vizrt Certified Designer in December 2011.
