Tala Al-Thaher is a proactive student at Arizona State University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sustainability Studies with extensive hands-on experience in conservation and environmental research. As a Doris Duke Conservation Scholar at the UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program, Tala engages in field ecological research encompassing study ideation, experimental design, and data analysis. Tala's internship at the California Academy of Sciences involved creating an ArcGIS StoryMap to enhance public understanding of scientific specimens related to climate change, alongside a role in producing an intern interview series for a wide audience.
