Rita Somogyi Dr., PMP®

Rita Somogyi Dr., PMP® has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Asura Technologies Ltd. since September 2022.

Prior to this, Rita held the position of Visiting Lecturer at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, starting from January 2014. Rita also worked as a Researcher at the same institution from July 2009 to December 2013.

In 2017, Rita became a Member of the Scientific Committee at SESAR Joint Undertaking, where they made valuable contributions in the field of aviation and air navigation.

Rita has also worked as a Lead Consultant at Szinergia Kft. from May 2022 to September 2022.

From March 2021 to April 2022, Rita served as the Head of Strategy and Project Management at HungaroControl - Hungarian Air Navigation Services. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Research Development Project Engineer and a System Engineer at the same organization.

In 2007, Rita worked as a Translator at the European Commission, and from 2004 to 2007, they served as an Inspector at the Civil Aviation Authority of Hungary.

Throughout their career, Rita has demonstrated expertise in strategy, project management, research, and aviation. Rita holds the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification, further confirming their proficiency in project management.

Rita Somogyi Dr., PMP®, has a diverse education history. Rita obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling and Organizational Development from Semmelweis University in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Transportation Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2012.

Between 2009 and 2011, Rita Somogyi Dr., PMP®, also pursued studies at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, specializing in Transport Economics as an Engineer Specialist. Rita holds a BSc degree in Specialist Translation and Interpretation in the Field of Technical Sciences (English) from the same university, earned in 2005.

Further expanding their knowledge in the field, Rita Somogyi Dr., PMP®, completed a Master of Science degree in Transportation Engineering with a focus on Aeronautics, Aviation, and Aerospace Science and Technology from Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Rita Somogyi Dr., PMP®, has obtained various certifications. Rita achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2017. Rita also holds certifications in ATS Message Handling System, Theoretical Training Instructor Skills, Introduction to Safety Assessment, Implementing Performance Based Navigation in ECAC, Ground Data Networks and Applications in Aviation, Towards Voice over IP in Aeronautical Communications, and ARTAS: Providing Accurate Information from Several Surveillance Techniques. These certifications were obtained from the EUROCONTROL Training Zone (former IANS) between 2014 and 2017.
