Hideaki Nomura

He started his career at Nippon Credit Bank or currently known as Aozora Bank (1986-1998) and was involved in lending to Japanese companies, mergers & acquisitions finance, credit analysis, derivatives trading, bond trading, and fixed income market analysis in Indonesia. Tokyo Branch, Sapporo Branch, Tokyo Headquarters, and investment banking subsidiary based in London. Then, he had a career at Mitsui Marine and Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., or currently known as Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd., as Deputy Manager of the Financial Business Planning Department (1998-2002), Manager of the Human Resources Department, and the Department of Human Resources. Corporate Planning (2002-2008), Deputy General Manager of the Corporate Planning Department and the Asian Life Insurance Business Department (2008-2013), General Manager of the Asia Life Insurance Business Department (2013-2019). Then, since April 2019, he has served as Senior General Manager of the Asia Life Insurance Business Department at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd., and Senior General Manager of the International Life Insurance Business Department at MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. He is also trusted as a Non-Executive Director at Max Life Insurance Co., Ltd., since 2012 and as a Commissioner at PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas MSIG Tbk since 2019.

He earned an MBA from the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, and a Master of Economics from Keio University, Tokyo, and completed an MBA student exchange program from the Anderson Business School at the University of California, Los Angeles.

He has no financial, share ownership, and/or family relationship with other members of the Board of Commissioners, members of the Board of Directors, and/or controlling shareholder.

Appointed as Commissioner based on the Resolution of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders dated August 22, 2019, whose decision was stated in the Deed of Statement of Meeting Resolutions Number 36 dated August 22, 2019, drawn up before Aulia Taufani SH, Notary in Jakarta. His appointment as Commissioner of the Company was reaffirmed in Deed No. 25 dated November 21, 2019, made before Aulia Taufani, SH, Notary in Jakarta. He was reappointed as Commissioner based on the Deed of Statement of Meeting Resolutions No. 59 dated May 25, 2021, drawn up before Aulia Taufani SH, Notary in Jakarta. He was declared to have passed the Fit and Proper Test by the OJK based on the Decree of the OJK Board of Commissioners Number KEP-91/KDK.05/2019 regarding the Fit and Proper Test Results.

Outside of PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas MSIG Tbk, he currently holds concurrent positions as Non-Executive Director at Max Life Insurance Co., Ltd., and as Senior General Manager at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd and Senior General Manager at the Life Insurance Business Department. International at MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. (2019-present). Internally at PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas MSIG Tbk, he currently serves as a member of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee.
