Luisa Sotelo

Luisa Sotelo has a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in various roles at different organizations. Luisa began their career as a Finance Fellow at Asylum Access in September 2012, where they managed cash flow and built budget forecasts. Luisa was then promoted to Finance and Accounting Officer, where they continued to oversee cash flow management and took on additional responsibilities, such as budget management. In December 2014, they were promoted to Finance Manager, where they developed financial management for the headquarters office and achieved a clean Single Audit. In May 2016, they were promoted to Global Finance Associate Director, where they established strong internal controls and provided financial leadership to the organization. In July 2017, they were promoted again to Global Finance Director, where they built financial management capacity and coordinated the integration of accounting books from subsidiaries. In addition to their work at Asylum Access, they also worked as a Freelance Bookkeeper from May 2012 to June 2013.

Luisa Sotelo obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from San Francisco State University. Luisa attended the university from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design - The New School from 1999 to 2002. Their field of study during this period was Fashion/Apparel Design.
