Dr. Roland Winkler

Dr. Roland Winkler has extensive work experience in strategy, business development, and innovation management. Dr. Roland is currently the Head of Strategy at AT&S AG, a position they have held since June 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Strategy and Business Development Manager from June 2015 to May 2018 and as Corporate Business Development from June 2014 to May 2015 at the same company.

Before their time at AT&S AG, Dr. Winkler worked as a University Lecturer at Graz University of Technology, University Krems, and University of Applied Sciences Graz/Carinthia starting in July 2003. Their expertise in strategic management, technology management, business model innovation, and other related fields was utilized during their tenure.

In 2005, Dr. Winkler became a Managing Partner and Senior Consultant at ISN - Innovation Service Network, where they worked until May 2014. Dr. Roland also had the role of Consultant from January 2005 to November 2007 at the same company.

Dr. Winkler has also served as the Director and Senior Researcher at the Institute for Innovation and Trend Research from an unspecified date in 2008 to April 2014.

Furthermore, they co-founded and represented the Austrian Chapter of Service Design Network, a leading institution for expertise in service design and design thinking, from January 2011 to March 2014.

Their earlier career included positions as a University Assistant, Innovation Researcher, and Consultant at Graz University of Technology from May 2003 to October 2007.

Dr. Roland Winkler has a strong educational background with degrees in various fields. Dr. Roland earned their PhD (Dr.techn.) in Industrial Economics, Industrial Management, and Innovation Management from Technische Universität Graz. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc (Dipl.-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Biomedical Engineering from the same university.

Dr. Winkler also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management and International Business from Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Additionally, they received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Administration, Finance, and Controlling from the same institution.

Furthermore, Dr. Winkler completed their secondary education at HTL Weiz, a Secondary College of Engineering, where they studied Electrical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Roland Winkler has pursued several certifications.
