Jennie Gjertsen

Jennie Gjertsen currently serves as the VP of Sustainability and External Relations at Fuerte Metals since October 2025. Prior to this role, Jennie worked at Newmont Corporation from April 2019 to October 2025, where responsibilities included the Manager of Sustainability and External Relations and Environmental and Permitting Manager for the Coffee Gold Project. Previous experience includes positions such as Environmental and Permitting Manager at Goldcorp, Environment Manager at Kaminak Gold Corporation, and multiple roles at Capstone Mining Corp focused on environment, sustainability, and community affairs. Jennie's career began as an Environmental Coordinator at Yukon Zinc Corporation. Jennie Gjertsen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological and Earth Sciences from The University of British Columbia and has further education from CIM.
