Carrie Bowen

Dr. Bowen joined atai Life Sciences in 2020.

Previously Dr. Bowen was Associate Director, Pharmacology, at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. where she led several cross-functional, small-molecule, drug discovery programs focused on the identification of novel treatments for psychiatric, neurodevelopmental, and neurological disorders and provided in vivo pharmacology expertise and support for discovery- and clinical-stage programs.

Prior to that, she was Principal Scientist, Pharmacology, at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. where she led CNS drug discovery programs and managed in vivo pharmacology research in support of both discovery and clinical research programs.

Dr. Bowen holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
