Henry Sanders has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the medical device and manufacturing industries. Henry is currently a Senior Director at Atara Biotherapeutics, where they oversee strategic planning and operations. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Medical Device Consultant at BTBRG LLC. Henry also served as an Operations Executive and Senior Director of Manufacturing at Second Sight Medical Products.

Henry's most significant role was at Medtronic, where they worked for 20 years in multiple positions. Henry was the Operations Leader, Director of Manufacturing, and Lean Six Sigma Champion, where they implemented lean manufacturing practices and improved cycle time by over 50%. Henry also successfully managed a product mix of 35 SKU's with high yield and capacity. In addition, they were the Director of Manufacturing for the Insulin Delivery Business Unit, where they executed strategic transfers and managed a team for the development and launch of a $2 million production site.

Henry Sanders holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tuskegee University, which they obtained from 1986 to 1991. Henry then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Case Western Reserve University from 1993 to 1995. Henry further enhanced their education by completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School between 1997 and 1999. In addition to their degrees, Henry has obtained various certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2016. Henry also holds Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) and Green Belt (ICGB) certifications from Lean Sigma Corporation, obtained in 2020.
