Stamatios Chalapas

Stamatios Chalapas is an experienced professional in operational process and risk management, currently serving as Senior Manager Operational Process & Risk at ATB Financial since December 2005. In this role, Stamatios oversees the formation of a team to support the new Banking Operations structure and the implementation of ATB’s Operational Risk Management and Regulatory/Compliance Framework. Previously, Stamatios held the position of Manager, Operational Process and Risk, where the focus was on establishing a team for the Enterprise Risk Management Program in Card Services. Earlier experience includes a role as Reporting Analyst at ATB, contributing significantly to the growth of the Retail mortgages sector through the development of a commissions/payroll database. Stamatios’ career began at Eurobank, where a managerial role involved representing the Mortgage Lending Division in Greece's first mortgage securitization initiative. Stamatios holds an MBA in Finance from Alba Graduate Business School and a BA in Banking and Finance from Ulster University, complemented by studies at the University of Westminster.
