Caroline Overå

Scientific Growth Manager/Cryo-EM Scientist at ATEM Structural Discovery

Caroline Overå began their work experience in 2017 with a summer internship at Lund University. Later that year, they worked as a research intern at Universitätsklinikum Regensburg. In 2017, they also started their PhD at Universität Regensburg, where they worked as a PhD student until 2022. Most recently, in 2022, Caroline joined ATEM Structural Discovery as a Scientific Growth Manager/Cryo-EM Scientist.

Caroline Overå has an extensive education history spanning various fields of study. Caroline pursued a Bachelor's degree in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts, General at the University of Roehampton from 2008 to 2011. Following this, they attended Ålesund University College (HiÅ) from 2012 to 2015 and earned another Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology.

Caroline then furthered their education by undertaking a Master's degree in Molecular Genetics at Lund University from 2015 to 2017. Caroline continued their academic journey by enrolling in the University of Regensburg, where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Structural Biology, expected to be completed in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Caroline has also obtained several certifications to expand their knowledge and skills. These include certifications in Google SEO Fundamentals and Introduction to Google SEO from Coursera, which they obtained in August and July 2022, respectively. Caroline also completed the Writing in the Sciences (with Honors) course on Coursera in April 2022.
