Asier Abreu Aramburu

Asier Abreu Aramburu is a Senior Operations Scientist at ATG Europe since May 2020, specializing in Gaia/PLATO systems and software engineering with a focus on data processing systems and agile development. Prior experience includes leading the Data Analytics Lab at CGI España and mentoring teams, as well as coordinating data scientists and engineers at Tessella. Asier has a strong background with the European Space Agency, serving as a Science Operations Engineer and leading data processing operations from 2008 to 2018. Earlier roles included Test Engineer at Deimos Space and Instrument and AIV Engineer at the Science and Technology Facilities Council. Asier holds a PhD from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master's in Artificial Intelligence from VIU, alongside degrees in Physics with a specialization in Astrophysics.
