Tim Vanderpyl

Tim Vanderpyl is an experienced leader in human resources and labor relations, currently serving as the Director of Labour Relations at Athabasca University since July 2024. Prior roles include Manager of Employee & Labour Relations at FortisAlberta, where oversight of a team exceeding 10 HR professionals involved workplace investigations and collective bargaining. Tim has an extensive teaching history as a Sessional Instructor across multiple universities, covering business and labor relations courses. Tim's work in HR spans various organizations, including Saipem Canada Inc. where the team was awarded HR Team of the Year by HRIA for significant contributions, and Covenant Health Canada in key HR leadership roles. Tim holds a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University and multiple certifications from Queen's University and other institutions, enhancing expertise in human resources and labor relations.
