Robert Richard

With over two decades of experience leading technology operations and systems development, Robert is an expert in Compliance, Information Governance, Data Privacy, eDiscovery, Data Analytics, and Digital Forensics. As CIO, Robert leads the continued development of their robust and secure information technology environment.

Robert’s previous work includes large-scale, multi-jurisdictional eDiscovery and Forensic Technology Solutions projects, designing and implementing solutions in Risk Mitigation, Information Governance, and extensive work in various compliance matters, including SOX 404, ISO27001:2013 Information Security Management, and GDPR. He has also served as an expert in official interviews with the US Department of Justice, as well as for depositions and court testimony on various legal matters regarding technology systems and data analysis.

Robert develops strategic technology solutions with a focus on security, scalability, and manageability. This approach is of particular importance to them as they continue to grow rapidly as an organization. Robert has engineered a number of important changes to Information Systems at Athena, which has resulted in marked improvements to their Infrastructure and substantial advancements in their approach to Information Security.

Robert is both a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/e) for European Data Privacy and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
