Rutger Nijhuis

Rutger Nijhuis is an experienced educator and legal professional currently serving as a docent in geschiedenis en maatschappijleer at Athena since May 2022. Additionally, Rutger provides juridische dienstverlening at RNR and previously handled acquisitions and legal affairs at Cityhero from February 2020 to March 2023, contributing to the centralization of nightlife activities through an innovative platform. A former student-assistant mentor at VU Amsterdam, Rutger supported first-year law students from September 2019 to 2021. Prior roles include head of the produce department at Coop from March 2013 to December 2019 and work in service at 't Vossenveen Albergen from 2010 to 2013. Rutger holds a Bachelor in de Rechten from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, completed in 2021, and studied at Saxion University of Applied Sciences from 2015 to 2019.
