Laura de Groot is a PhD Candidate at Athena - Research and Education Institute, where Laura also works as a Junior Lecturer in Science and Society. Laura has a background in Health Sciences and Management, Policy Analysis, and Entrepreneurship in Health & Life Sciences. Laura has undertaken various research internships, including at UMC Utrecht and Leprastichting, focusing on infectious diseases and leprosy. Laura is passionate about engaging with the community and integrating academic skills to collaborate on real-life societal issues.
