Karl Salnoske

Karl Salnoske is the SVP of Cloud Engineering & Operations at athenahealth. Karl has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and has held various senior leadership positions throughout their career.

Most recently, Karl was the SVP of Engineering and Cloud Operations at Virence Health from October 2018 to February 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Information Officer at Laureate International Universities from March 2014 to December 2017. In that role, they were responsible for developing strategies for leveraging technology and mobility in the education industry, managing the deployment and efficient operation of all administrative systems in support of faculty and students, and ensuring efficient operation of "back office" systems globally, including finance, HR, and information security.

From 2010 to 2014, Karl was the Executive Vice President of Service Delivery and CIO at GXS. In that role, they were responsible for engineering, operations, customer support and integration services, as well as all internal business systems and infrastructure. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President and CIO at Schering-Plough from 2004 to 2010.

Karl began their career as an entrepreneur when they founded AdaptiveTrade in 2001. Karl served as the company's President and CEO until 2004, when they joined Schering-Plough.

Karl Salnoske received their BS in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.

They work with Jon Maack - Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer, Jessica Collins - SVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, and Stacy Simpson - Chief Marketing Officer. Their manager is Bob Segert, Chairman & CEO.
