Niels Huisman

Niels Huisman is an experienced actuarial professional currently serving as AVP of corporate development at Athene since February 2023. Prior to this role, Niels worked at Hannover Re from March 2015 to March 2023 as a Marketing Actuary and Business Development Actuary, focusing on business development and longevity. Niels also held positions at Allianz Nederland Groep N.V. from June 2009 to October 2014 as an Actuarieel analist, where responsibilities included pricing immediate annuities and developing a MoSes model for embedded value. Earlier experience includes an actuarial consultant role at Talent en Pro and a data manager position at ING. Niels holds a Master of Science in Economie from the University of Amsterdam, along with actuarial qualifications from the Royal Dutch Actuarial Association and the UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
