Solomon Smothers

Solomon Smothers is a seasoned professional in community development and church leadership, currently serving as Housing Coordinator for the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government since December 2021. Previously, Solomon held the position of Associate Pastor of Worship and Mercy at Lord of Glory Fellowship from June 2018 to December 2021, where responsibilities included spiritual leadership and oversight of public worship and church benevolence. Solomon's prior roles encompass advising students as a Community Advisor at Athens Community Career Academy, directing programs for Action Ministries, and coordinating food assistance initiatives at The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. Solomon's educational background includes a degree in Communication Studies, Rhetoric, and Religious Studies from Georgia Southern University, earned between 2002 and 2006.
