David Brown

AVP, University Development at Athens State University

David Brown serves as the Assistant Vice President for University Development at Athens State University since November 2016, contributing to the institution's mission as Alabama's oldest educational establishment, which celebrated its bicentennial in 2022. Prior to this role, David held the position of Director of Institutional Development at Athens State University, focusing on enhancing quality education for transfer students. From July 2008 to October 2016, David was the Director of the Work Study program at Cristo Rey High School Sacramento, supporting students from limited financial backgrounds in their college preparatory journey. David Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts in Language from Maryville College and a Non-Profit Management Scholar designation from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
