Sunyung Song

Sunyung Song is an experienced educator in the field of English Language Learning (ELL), currently serving as an Associate Professor of Education at Athens State University since May 2017. Song teaches both face-to-face and online courses aimed at preparing K-12 teacher candidates for teaching English language learners. Responsibilities also include curriculum development, advising, and supervising candidates during field experiences. Previously, Song was a Full-time Lecturer at Purdue University, where instruction focused on enhancing L2 students’ language skills and cross-cultural understanding, and served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Dayton. Sunyung Song has an extensive educational background, holding a PhD in Foreign and Second Language Education from The Ohio State University, as well as two master’s degrees in TESOL and English Language Education, along with a TESOL certificate.
