Carolyn Harris

Carolyn Harris has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Carolyn is currently employed at Athian as a Senior Software Engineer since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Seismic as a Software Engineering Manager from June 2021 to July 2023. Carolyn also worked at Lessonly as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2019 to June 2021. Carolyn has experience as a Software Engineer at Structural, where they contributed to the development of an all-in-one people directory from October 2018 to December 2019. Carolyn also worked as an Instructor at Eleven Fifty Academy from February 2018 to October 2018, teaching various technologies including JavaScript and React. Carolyn's experience also includes freelance software development work, where they worked on various projects involving responsive design and front-end development from December 2017 to October 2018. Carolyn has a background in quality assurance as well, having worked as a QA Team Lead and QA Engineer at Sharpen from June 2017 to January 2018, where they collaborated with developers and tested new features and improvements. Before transitioning to the software engineering field, they worked in the service industry at multiple companies as a server, bartender, and server trainer from March 2012 to January 2017. Carolyn also has experience in the education sector, working as a Long-Term Substitute Teacher at Indianapolis Public Schools from July 2015 to December 2015.

Carolyn Harris has a diverse education history. In 2004, they obtained their high school diploma from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, where they studied music. Later, from 2008 to 2012, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology at the University of Florida. Afterward, Carolyn returned to the University of Florida for an additional Bachelor of Arts degree, this time focusing specifically on Anthropology. In 2016, they attended Eleven Fifty Academy, where they completed an Accelerated Learning Program with a specialization in Java.
