Berend-Jan Wolbers, CFA, CAIA, currently serves as Senior Portfolio Manager for Treasury & Rates at Athora Netherlands since July 2021, having transitioned from ACTIAM where Berend-Jan was Senior Portfolio Manager Fixed Income. With extensive experience in managing fixed income allocations, including a €20 billion sovereign bond portfolio, Wolbers has led various funding, hedging activities, and regulatory initiatives. Prior to ACTIAM, Wolbers held senior risk management and investment roles at VIVAT and SNS REAAL, focusing on market, liquidity, and counterparty risks, as well as derivative portfolio optimization. An educational background in finance, including a Master's degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam and specialized training in institutional investments and credit risk, further complements Wolbers' professional expertise.
