Rong Wang started working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University in 2009. In 2014, they moved to Aptitude Medical Systems as a Research and Development Scientist. In 2015, they joined Atila Biosystems as a Lead Scientist, where they developed the iAMP COVID-19 Detection Kit as the project manager and lead Scientist. This product has since obtained FDA-EUA approval and CE-certificate and has been distributed in more than 30 countries all over the world to help fight against COVID19 pandemic.
Rong Wang attended Peking University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Rong then went on to attend Penn State University from 2008 to 2014, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular/Cellular Biology and Genetics.
