Kevin Flavin started their work experience in 2003 as a Clerical Officer at Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. From 2005 to 2009, they worked at the Construction Industry Federation, first as an Eastern Region Executive and then as a Housing Executive. During this time, they were involved in data collection, research, policy analysis, and project management related to planning, housing market, and infrastructure development. From 2010 to 2010, they worked as a Consultant at Powerserve Ltd. In 2011, they joined AtkinsRéalis as a Vice President Health Safety and Environment. From there, they moved to SNC-Lavalin and held various roles such as HSEC Coordinator, HSSE Manager, and HSSE Director in different sectors. Kevin'smost recent role at SNC-Lavalin is Vice President, Health Safety and Environment, Nuclear.

Kevin Flavin completed their education history with a BA (Hons) degree in English and Sociology from University College Cork in the years 2000-2003. Kevin then pursued an M.Sc. degree in Sustainable Development from Technological University Dublin from 2003-2004. Later, they attained another M.Sc. degree in Spatial Planning from Technological University Dublin between 2008-2010.
