Jennifer Morris

Director Of Animal Health at Atlanta Humane Society

Jennifer Morris has a diverse work experience in the veterinary field. Jennifer started their career as an Associate Veterinarian at The Pet Clinic in 2004, where they worked until 2007. From 2007 to 2015, they served as the Chief Veterinarian at the Humane Society of South Mississippi. In 2015, they joined the Atlanta Humane Society as the Director of Shelter Medicine, a role they held until 2019 when they became the Director of Veterinary Outreach. In 2018, Jennifer also joined the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine as a Visiting Instructor in Shelter Medicine.

Jennifer Morris pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting from 1996 to 2000 at The University of Southern Mississippi, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences. Following this, they attended Mississippi State University from 2000 to 2004, completing their Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with a focus on Veterinary Medicine. Lastly, in the years 2023 to 2025, Jennifer attended the University of Florida to delve into Veterinary Forensics, earning their Master of Science (MS) degree.
