Bresha' Baker

Bresha' Baker is an experienced educator currently serving as an English Language Arts Teacher at Atlanta Public Schools since July 2022, where leadership of a 6th grade teacher team has resulted in improved student reading scores through tailored curricula and assessments. Previously, Bresha' was a Teach For America Corps Member and AmeriCorps Member from June 2020 to June 2022, focusing on teaching in under-resourced schools and enhancing literacy skills in Alabama. Additional teaching experience includes significant improvements in student reading proficiency during tenure with the Alabama Department of Education. Earlier roles include organizing events as a Professional in Training at Teach One to Lead One, and supporting HR processes as a Student Intern at Emory University and Human Resources Assistant at the University of West Georgia. Bresha' holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and English Language Arts from The University of West Alabama and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of West Georgia.
