Dr. Cadence Spearman serves as the Coordinator of Gifted and Talented Education at Atlanta Public Schools since November 2015, where responsibilities include leading the K–12 Gifted Program, overseeing curriculum development, instructional services, and staff professional learning. Previous experience includes roles such as Site Administrator for the District Xanadu Summer Program, K-12 Gifted Instructional Coach managing several academic programs, and High School Gifted Support Specialist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. Additional positions involve online instruction at Charles R Drew Charter School and science assessment review and writing at ETS. Dr. Spearman holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Howard University, a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University, a degree in Science Education from Georgia State University, and an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
