Cheryl Mayerik

Cheryl Mayerik is the Deputy Chief External Affairs Officer at the Atlanta Regional Commission, a position held since May 2013, where responsibilities include planning and executing communications strategies to enhance the agency's image and identity. Previously, Cheryl served in various roles at the same organization, including Project Manager, where management of a national grant-funded project focused on community improvement and engagement. Early career experience includes community engagement consulting at Sycamore Consulting and managing communications services for the Atlanta Regional Commission. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Bethany College, along with several additional certifications in travel training, geriatric social work, and French language studies.
