Alistair Smick

Alistair Smick is an experienced educational professional with a focus on literacy instruction and instructional design. Currently serving as a Content Specialist and Instructional Designer and previously as a Reading Specialist at the Atlanta Speech School since August 2017, Alistair has a strong background in modeling and supporting research-based literacy methods. Previous roles include Literacy Coach for a research study at Vanderbilt University, where Alistair enriched classroom literacy instruction, and instructional coach at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where responsibilities included training students to develop individualized reading intervention plans. Furthermore, Alistair has worked as a Reading Interventionist and as a substitute teacher at Shandon Presbyterian Child Development Center. Alistair holds a Master’s Degree in Reading Teacher Education from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.
