Ashley Ellis

Ashley Ellis has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Ashley currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Atlanta Speech School since March 2022. Prior to this, they were the Coordinator of Substitutes and Temporary Staff at the same school starting from August 2017. Ashley also worked as the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Lead at Atlanta Speech School from August 2021 to March 2022. Ashley is also an Author/Artist/Educator/Workshop Facilitator at PiecesofAJM since July 2009. In addition, Ashley has experience as a Teacher at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) from 2009 to June 2017 and as an Enrichment Specialist at Emerging Scholars from June 2015 to August 2016.

Ashley Ellis obtained a Master of Education - MEd degree in Learning, Leadership & Organizational Development from The University of Georgia from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Montevallo, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace, Certified Diversity and Inclusion Specialist, and Inclusive and Ethical Leadership.
