Substitue Bass at Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

Jonathan Colbert is a seasoned bassist with an extensive background in music education and performance. Currently serving as a Bass Professor at The University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music since August 2021, Jonathan has also held positions with prominent orchestras, including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as a Substitute Bass and as a Co-principal with Det Kongelige Teater/Royal Danish Orchestra until August 2021. Additional roles include being an Orchestra Member with the Fondation du Festival et Academie de Verbier, a Double Bass Teaching Artist at Atlanta Music Project, and a section bass with the Kansas City Symphony and Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Jonathan holds degrees in Music from Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School, further underscoring a solid educational foundation in performance.
