Ilker Baburoglu is an accomplished leader in the energy and commodities sectors, currently serving on the Advisory Board of the Energy Shift Forum since May 2025 and holding roles in YPO Global One and YPO MENA Gulf since October 2023. Baburoglu is also a Millennium Leadership Fellow at the Atlantic Council since July 2022. As CEO of various multinational companies in energy and commodities since January 2018 and CEO of MedTrade Energy & Commodities since January 2017, Baburoglu directs operations in refined oil product trading across the Mediterranean and European markets. Previous positions include CEO and Board Member at Sima Group and Managing Director at Mineks International Zambia Limited, where significant contributions were made to the mining and hydrocarbons sector. Educational qualifications encompass advanced degrees from prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School and Georgetown University, among others.
