Asitha Samaraweera

Asitha Samaraweera is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in senior management roles across various sectors, including food and beverages and manufacturing. Currently serving as the Managing Director for Hemas International Business & Atlas Axillia at HEMAS HOLDINGS PLC, a position held since August 2023, Asitha previously led Atlas Axillia from May 2018 to October 2023. Prior to that, Asitha was the CEO of CBL Global Foods from February 2016 to May 2018, overseeing innovative manufacturing processes in coconut products. Additional leadership roles include CEO of IFFCO's Frozen Foods division, General Manager at Global Food Industries, and key positions at Keells Food Products PLC and Nestlé, driving significant profitability improvements and successful marketing campaigns. Asitha holds an MSc in Finance and Accounting from The London School of Economics and a BSBA in Business Administration and Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
