Jon Hallgrimsson

Jon Hallgrimsson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jon began their career as a Microsoft Support Engineer at Keane, Inc., specializing in Windows 98 corporate network support. Jon then worked as a Network Systems Engineer at Ascend Communications before moving on to Lucent/INS, where they served as a Senior Network Systems Consultant and managed the Microsoft professional services practice for the Central Texas region.

In 2002, Jon joined ITT Industries - Systems Division as the Lead Systems Administrator for Operation Enduring Freedom in Bagram, Afghanistan. Jon also led a team in Kuwait to build the server infrastructure, network infrastructure, enterprise storage, and data center for a major military base.

Jon continued to gain experience in network systems consulting at INS, where they played a crucial role in deploying Exchange and Active Directory upgrades and migrations for large corporations. Jon then joined BT as a Principal Consultant, working in the Emerging Technologies Office, defining and delivering new professional services offerings.

Jon's healthcare technology career began at Tucson Medical Center, where they served as Lead Systems Engineer and later as IS Manager, Systems and Databases. Jon was responsible for managing technical staff, implementing ITIL systems, and improving the availability and security of clinical and business server systems.

Before joining Atlas Healthcare Partners as the Vice President Information Technology and Chief Information Security Officer, Jon worked at Cancer Treatment Centers of America as an Engineering Manager and Network Manager.

Throughout their career, Jon has demonstrated their expertise in IT strategy, infrastructure management, project management, and leading technology teams. Jon is committed to delivering reliable, scalable, and secure solutions to support high-quality healthcare services.

Jon Hallgrimsson completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at The University of Texas Permian Basin from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Northern Arizona University-The W. A. Franke College of Business, where they studied from 2010 to 2017. Jon Hallgrimsson also earned an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming from Pima Community College between 2009 and 2019. Additionally, they completed the Leadership Essentials and Advancement Program (LEAP) from CTCA in 2016, which awarded him a Management Certificate. Furthermore, they attended the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School from 1992 to 1993, studying Nuclear Physics, Electrical and Electronics. Jon Hallgrimsson holds several certifications, including EMC Cloud Infrastructure and Services Associate (EMCCIS) from EMC in 2016, VMware Certified Professional from VMware in 2006, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer from Microsoft in 1999, and VMware Certified Instructor from VMware in 2006.
