Sam Nixon

Sam Nixon is an experienced geologist with a strong background in mine geology and metallurgy, currently serving as the Manager of Mine Geology and Metallurgy at Atlas Iron Pty Ltd since December 2015. Prior roles at Atlas Iron include Superintendent Mine Geology, Senior Project Geologist, and Mine Geologist. Previously, Sam Nixon worked as an Exploration Geologist at KGL Resources, focusing on base metals, and supervised multiple drill rigs. Early career experience includes a role as Graduate Mine Geologist at Kentor Minerals WA, specializing in open pit and underground narrow vein gold. Sam Nixon holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology/Geosciences from Monash University and a Victorian Certificate of Education from Haileybury College.
