Lawson Bader is president and CEO of DonorsTrust, a donor-advised fund/community foundation that works with donors and charities to promote limited government, free enterprise, and personal responsibility. Since its founding in 2000, DonorsTrust has granted more than $2 billion to groups in academia, public policy, religious institutions, medical research, public policy, civics, and the arts. In addition to his foundation work, Lawson has more than 20 years of experience leading free-market research and advocacy groups, including the Competitive Enterprise Institute and the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He is a former weekly columnist with Human Events and a current Kiplinger contributor. He holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Wheaton College in Illinois, and a master’s in public policy from Johns Hopkins University.
