Leah Retherford has worked in the environmental sector for over 15 years. Leah began their career in 2006 as a Farmers' Market and Nutrition Education Coordinator for The Greening of Detroit. In 2009, they moved to Queens County Farm Museum to serve as their Farm Manager. In 2015, they joined Big Reuse as the Project Manager of the NYC Compost Project hosted by Big Reuse. In 2020, Leah began working for Atlas Organics, Inc. as a Project Manager and for Brooklyn Greenway Initiative as a Gardener.
Leah Retherford has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Applied Physics from Wayne State University. Leah also holds a Certificate from Michigan State University's Organic Farmer Training Program, which they began in 2007.
