Sergi Felipe Marzal

Sergi Felipe Marzal has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Sergi started their career at BDO Spain as a Senior, where they performed audit risk assessments and reviewed annual accounts. Later, they joined KPMG as a Supervising Senior Auditor, leading audit teams, planning audit activities, and presenting audit conclusions. Sergi then progressed to the role of Audit Manager at KPMG, where they supervised audit fees, reviewed audit working papers, and prepared audit reports.

Marzal also worked as a Controller and Internal Auditor at Nubiola, designing analytical and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and providing information for M&A purposes. Sergi further honed their finance skills as a Finance Manager at Sphera Global Health Care, leading the budget process, implementing financial and tax strategies, and supporting international expansion.

Recently, Marzal held the position of Finance Manager at Alea, where they established the finance department, implemented accounting policies, and oversaw the implementation of an accounting software. Sergi then joined ELEMENTS GLOBAL SERVICES as a Finance Operations Manager, implementing key controls for payroll accuracy and invoicing, as well as analyzing payroll cycle risks. Most recently, they joined Atlas as the Regional Finance Director for Europe, leading finance initiatives, managing compliance with local providers, and utilizing a technology platform to support global workforce management.

Throughout their career, Marzal has demonstrated strong leadership and analytical skills, as well as expertise in finance, accounting, and compliance.

Sergi Felipe Marzal's education history includes a Master's degree in Finance and Economic Management from Esade, which they pursued from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Posgrado in Auditoría at Colegio Censores Jurados de Cuentas by 2004. Sergi also attained a Diplomado in Ciencias empresariales from Universitat de Barcelona. In terms of additional certifications, Sergi obtained the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) certification from Thomson Reuters in October 2019. Sergi also acquired certifications in Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism, as well as Responsible Gaming, from iGaming Academy in September and August 2018, respectively.
