Margie Mateo Villanueva

Margie Mateo Villanueva is a seasoned professional in user research and experience design, currently serving as the User Research Manager at Atlassian since November 2023. Previously, Margie held multiple leadership roles at Loom, including Director and Senior Manager, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing user research initiatives. Prior experience includes a position at Indeed.com as a User Experience Researcher, and at IBM as Lead User Experience Researcher, where Margie contributed to the growth of the Cognitive Systems research competency. Margie co-founded the User Experience team at Arthrex, establishing its UX research function while also working as a Graphic Designer to implement brand strategies. Margie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Visual Communications from American Intercontinental University and a background in design from The Art Institutes.
