Salim Akbani

Head of Migrations, Customer Support Services at Atlassian

Salim Akbani is the current head of migrations and customer support services at Atlassian. Salim has over twenty years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on customer support and service delivery. Salim began their career as a software engineer with CMC Limiteed in 1998, before moving on to the Indian Air Force in 1992. After six years of service, they transitioned to Oracle where they spent almost two decades in various customer support roles, eventually becoming director of global customer support. In their current role at Atlassian, they are responsible for leading the customer support team and overseeing all customer migrations.

Salim Akbani has a degree in Computers from Amravati University and has also completed the Executive General Management Program from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Salim has also studied Electronics at Lal Bahadur Shastri Junior College and General Studies at St Joseph's Convent.
