Sunil Kunisetty is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and product management across various companies. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Atlassian since 2025, Sunil leads teams focused on MCP, A2A, and API Governance. Previously, Sunil held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Cloudera, where responsibilities included overseeing a 300+ member organization and driving initiatives in machine learning and modern data architectures. As Co-Founder and CTO of a stealth AI startup in 2024, Sunil worked on innovative Agentic AI tools. Sunil's career also includes over two decades at Oracle in various leadership roles, where significant contributions to IoT Cloud Services were made. Earlier experience includes positions at Sybase and the University of Florida, with an academic background featuring a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Florida and business studies at the University of Michigan and IESE Business School.
