Christian Rensch has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Christian started their career as a Student Assistant at MicroFab Technologies, Inc, where they studied drop-on-demand piezo-electric print head controls. Christian then continued their studies at Technische Universität Ilmenau, Center for Micro- and Nanotechnologies, while working as a Student Assistant.
In 2008, Christian joined GE Global Research / Technische Universität Ilmenau as a Diploma Student, conducting research on electrochemical phase transfer of radionuclides. Christian planned, executed, and analyzed radiochemistry experiments within regulated laboratory environments.
Following their studies, Christian became a Research Engineer and PhD Student in Engineering Physics, Microtechnology, and Medical Diagnostics at GE Global Research. During this time, they contributed to the development of a novel radiopharmaceutical production system for medical diagnostics. Christian also served as a Lead Engineer and Team Leader for product development, overseeing the development of various technologies such as digital pathology, market data analytics, high precision injection molding, medical diagnostics, catheters, and technical due diligence. Additionally, Christian presented on stages for scientists and business executives.
In 2017, Christian joined GE Additive as a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), responsible for managing customer relationships. Christian later transitioned to the role of Senior Marketing & Communications Leader, leading marketing and communications efforts.
Christian's next career move was to NUCLIDIUM AG in 2021, where they served as the Head of Engineering and an authorized officer. In this role, they managed various aspects of cyclotron solid targetry for radiometal production, including site preparation, system installation, regulatory approval, and operation and process optimization. Christian was also involved in scouting and inspecting potential production sites in Europe and the USA.
Most recently, in 2023, Christian joined Atley Solutions as a Senior Engineer, where they continue to utilize their expertise and skills in engineering.
Christian Rensch's education history begins in 2002 when they enrolled at Technische Universität Ilmenau, majoring in mechatronics. Christian completed their studies in 2008, earning a Diplomingenieur degree.
Afterward, they pursued further education at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2011 to 2015. During this time, Christian focused on engineering physics and obtained a Dr. rer. nat. degree.
In terms of additional certifications, Christian obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification in January 2018 from General Electric.
