Nicholas Young

Nicholas Young is an experienced Geographic Information Systems Technician currently employed at FOCUS Broadband since May 2020, where responsibilities include preparing and maintaining maps and databases for the ATMC Outside Plant Engineering Department. Previous experience includes contracting with Byers Engineering Company, where Nicholas worked on fiber optic cable upgrades using CableCAD, and serving as a GIS volunteer with multiple organizations, including the Leland Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department and Brunswick County Government. Educational qualifications include a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, both obtained from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, along with an Associate of Science in General Studies from Northern Virginia Community College.
