Marcus Bitting

Marcus Bitting is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in sales and use tax management. Currently, Marcus serves as the Manager of State & Local Tax at Atmos Energy since May 2016, overseeing compliance and audit functions for a publicly held natural gas utility serving three million customers across eight states. Prior to this role, Marcus was the Manager of Sales & Use Taxes at GENBAND from March 2013 to May 2016, where responsibilities included managing the sales tax function and audit processes. Marcus began the career as a Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young from September 2007 to March 2013 and as a Senior Consultant at Ryan & Company from August 2002 to August 2007. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University, earned between 1996 and 2001.
