Sweta Patel

Sweta Patel has a strong background in accounting and finance, with over 15 years of experience. sweta began their career as a Staff Accountant at Oxford Industries, where they reconciled bank and credit card statements and analyzed financial statements. sweta then moved on to Comcast Cable Communications, where they were promoted to Staff Accountant/Junior Accountant and performed month-end closings, conducted inventory audits, and prepared franchise fees.

Sweta then joined Cox Communications as a Senior Accountant, responsible for bookkeeping, revenue posting, and monthly reconciliations for Carrier Access Billing System (CABS) accounts. sweta streamlined the journal entry upload process, significantly reducing the time required.

After Cox Communications, Sweta worked as a Senior Accountant at AmeriCold Logistics, handling billing, month-end JE's, and payroll taxes. Additionally, they assisted in the transition from Infinium to SAP and generated invoices using SAP.

Sweta then joined ThyssenKrupp Elevator as a Senior Accountant, where they trained employees in system transitions, improved processes to reduce errors and month-end correction entries, and performed month-end journal entries and reconciliations.

Currently, Sweta is working at ATN International, first as an Assistant Controller and now as the Corporate Controller. In their role, they have led a team, managed multiple accounting functions, implemented new processes to improve efficiency, and explored automation possibilities.

Throughout their career, Sweta has consistently demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to improving processes and efficiency.

Sweta Patel completed their education in a chronological order. sweta first attended Georgia State University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. Following this, from 2008 to 2010, they attended the Keller School of Management and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Accounting. In September 2010, they also obtained a CPA License from the Georgia State Board of Accountancy.
